Gencon 2012
Images from Gencon 2012. Another great convention. Many wonderful costumes. Keep creating these masterpieces, I love shooting them, and you look great. Great games, I focused more on playing than on capturing the drama, next year I need to be a little more bold with watching and shooting games other than Werewolf. Some of you werewolf players were fascinating. Some great crowd shots this year. Amazing how many of us there are, and how good gencon is getting at handling very large numbers of people.
As always, thank you to the city of Indianapolis for putting up with us, hosting us, making us feel welcome. I have been to SF and gaming conventions up and down the east coast, and indy is by far the best convention city I have been to. I know some of that is because we bring a ton of dollars to your city, but I'm ok with that. The hospitality is real, it's not just business. Even when you are amazed by the massive horde of wierdos, you smile and are friendly, and that counts for something. Better than Another*Convention where the locals seem to actively hate the convention guests.
Next year I plan to expand my gencon photography. What would you think about being able to get high quality studio shots of your group, your costumes, etc? I can bring lights and backdrops. I could also teach a little studio photography if people are interested in that. I'm sure we can find models for a class.
All images are copyright Paul LoveKing 2012. You can purchase a digital image with no watermark for a dollar, please do that if you want an image for facebook or whatever. Help me be able to keep bringing you great photos. You can also purchase prints in a variety of sizes and formats. Also, please share on facebook, twitter, etc.
I will post some of these on tumblr and facebook with smaller watermarks, so watch there.
